Hello everyone! And welcome to my website’s first blog post!
The best way to celebrated it is sharing with you all the process of my latest illustration called “Untouchable”!
If you been following me since the beginning, you will know for sure that I absolutely love to use mixed media on my illustrations, and that my favourite combination of all times it’s combining watercolours and colour pencils!
On this occasion, I used the Schmincke Horadam watercolours, and my favourite colour pencils (as always!), the Faber-Castell Polychromos.
Watercolours help me to set a colour base to create a layer on which building more tonalities later on, using too the help of the drawing gum to not loose the whites.
As a second step, using colour pencils is my way to adding more depth and details to the final result.
The final step was detailing the outer lines with ballpens.
As an extra step, I added digitally a paper toned background to complete the illustration.
You can see the entire process on this time lapse drawing video about this illustration (and subscribe to my YouTube channel if you like it :P )
I hope you like it.
See you on the next post!
